The Gallery

I don't often take photos. I personally enjoy being in the moment, rather than trying to work out what angle captures the best lighting.

However, I want to keep (and share) the photos that I do take. So I'll add them here every so often.

Enjoy these fragments of a life in progress.

Me in my regalia, which uses orange for UT Dallas and blue for my field.
A photo of me in my full regalia for my Ph.D.
A photo of me in a Regency-era suit and top hat.
At the Jane Austen Centre, during a study-abroad across Europe. No plus-sized outfits, but I think I made do!
A whiteboard drawing of Kirby with curly hair, holding a sign asking 'Is it a playground?' A portmanteau of my name as 'Dr. Cirby' is written below.
One of my students caught on that my abbreviated name (C.Irby) could be pronounced "Kirby." And since I was teaching Game Studies I at the time, the association stuck.
My husband Eli stands in awe at the aquarium.
A favorite of mine. My husband Eli's wonder of the world never fails to brighten mine.
